Some 5 kms from Magaliesburg, situated in a tranquil valley on 45 hectares of pristine riverine bushveld, (an hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria), you will find the tranquil and picturesque environment of Whispering Pines Country Estate.
The Estate is ideal for that romantic and relaxing getaway. With only fourteen beautifully appointed cottages, the Estate is never crowded and you are assured of a quiet and peaceful stay, with all the care and attention you deserve from our friendly and professional team.

FACILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
The main reception area has a cosy bar, lounge and library, and a beautiful dining room, each with fireplaces for warmth and ambiance in Winter. Our own small Wellness Studio caters for all your beauty treatment and pampering massages. The Estate has a large outdoor salt chlorinated pool and a smaller semi indoor plunge pool which is heated (except from 15 May to 31August). We also have table tennis, a pool table, lovely forest and grassland walk routes and lovely mountain bike country rides in the surrounding area. Relax in our lounge which has a small selection of books to read, or relax in the hammocks in the gardens. Our fully licensed dining facilities offer outstanding cuisine (see “cuisine” page) in our romantic dining room or outdoors under the Bushwillows.
GENERATOR POWER: In the rare events of a power outage, we have installed a generator which drives electricity to the main building, dining areas, bar, conference rooms, wellness centre and office.
The Estate is a fine birding venue, with over 135 species identified. Our walk routes traverse the 45 hectare property through open grassland on the higher ground, to the "Secret Forest" in the lower lying section. Hot Air Balloon rides are launched on site, for which advanced prior reservations are required. Being in the heart of the Magalies Meander, there are many shopping and adventure activities from which to choose. Micro Flights, horse riding and much more are available for you to explore.
