1. MICROLIGHTING
Microlight flying for small groups / functions is absolutely safe and fun in the “Thunderbird" (2-seater) planes, two at a time.  Your pilots - Trevor and Gareth Davis, each have in excess of 2000 hours of flying and pilot training time. Flying time is 30 minutes and you are free to instruct your pilot to conduct some safe aerobatics, or opt for the gentle scenic journey.   To add some fun, each passenger gets a "flour bomb", which they drop at a target, the closest hit wins a prize.  While the two passengers are flying, the rest of the group enjoys drinks / coffee alongside the runway, enjoying the action.  Mornings are the best time, but flying can take place any time of the day, weather permitting.  Price: R665 per person per flight.

2. LAZER SPORTS
Our highly successful Lazer Sport companies bring in all the 100% safe and eco-friendly equipment for  fun filled periods of Lazer Clay-Pigeon shooting competitions, Pulse Ranger - the ultimate combat challenge (along the lines of Paint-Ball, without the mess or bruises) or Scooter-X.  These sessions are equally enjoyed by male and female alike and create a fantastic set up for team competitiveness and fun.  Price: R430 per person. Minimum charge R3000.

3. YOGA – The Poetry of stillness in motion.
Our qualified Hatha Yoga teacher will introduce you and your group to this life-changing practice.  The 1 to 1 ½ hour session will help you to unwind and de-stress through breathing, stretching, reflection and relaxation techniques.  Any one of any age, sex, race and culture can do it and will benefit from yoga.  Furthermore, there is no religious content to this process and it is an absolutely passive program.  Price: R1000 per group & R 100 per person.

4. MASSAGE & HEALTH TREATMENTS – The "Sanctuary" at Whispering Pines.
Our on site Wellness Studio has two treatment rooms and our highly experienced and internationally trained therapists will administer the treatments of your choice.  Choose from our menu of treatments, ranging from facials, massages and body treatments to manicures, pedicures and waxing.  Costs: vary according to treatment.  Check with Whispering Pines or our web site – www.whisperingpines.co.za.

5. FLY FISHING
Conducted at Magalies Barbus Haven, along the banks of the Magalies River and fishing for indigenous Yellowfish which thrive naturally in the waterways of this area.  Conducted by conservationist Wayne Sinclaire, you will certainly learn a new skill and become more aware of the environment, ecological system that co-exists in these fishing areas.  Incorporated is some fun activity (blind folded accuracy casting) and the sheer relaxation experienced, provides one with a new lease on life.  Approximately 2 hours per session (groups of up to 30 max).  Price: R375 per person (min 4 guests).

6. DISCOVERING THE UNIVERSE
Our professional Astronomer will give you amazing insight to the stars, planets and our amazing universe. The 45 minute presentation is inspirational and is followed by an outdoor session of planet and star gazing through powerful 100 magnification telescopes.  Generally, this activity is conducted around an evening braai at the pool.  Extremely interesting and well priced at R2050 for the session in total.

7. TREASURE HUNT
This event has the delegates split into two teams and with a little exertion, they get to see the Estate and the surrounding area (some by foot and some on mountain bikes), have fun and crack the mystery code.  The lesson learned – understand the task at hand and make best use of your resources to achieve your target.  Price: R100 per person.

8. HORSE RIDING
At venues within 10 to 30 minutes of Whispering Pines, we can arrange 1 to 2 hour out-rides, with experienced rider.  Absolute fun for those who enjoy horse riding in the country.  Price: Between R150 and R375 per hour.

9. HOT AIR BALLOONING
Probably a once in a lifetime experience, exhilarating early morning flight, (plus minus 1 hour) soaring in silence with the birds as your professional pilot navigates the wind currents along the surrounding hills and valleys.  After the breathtaking excitement, you receive your certificate and recap the exhilaration over a lovely champagne breakfast.  This takes place on site at Whispering Pines.  Price: From R1482 per person – No frills package. R1950 per person including breakfast.

10. GAME DRIVES
Approximately 20 minutes from Whispering Pines, in the valley between the Magaliesburg mountain range, you will be able to view game from open vehicles. The birding is fantastic, as well as the game viewing and one can watch the sun set whilst having sundowners.  Drinks are not included in the rate and you must provide your own transport to the game drive venue – directions will be provided by management. Price: R285 per person.

11. MAMPOER TASTING
And you thought you knew all there was about this fine product, unique to South Africa.  Well, we will introduce you to Mr Boet Schoeman, the SA Master Mampoer Distiller who will give you and your team a fantastic evening of Mampoer Tasting - whilst staying sober.   Normally best in the evening and takes about 1 - 2 hours.  Great fun, with a small Mampoer gift thrown in at R3400 for the session.  Certainly beats wine or brandy tasting.

12. CHEESE & WINE TASTING
Enjoy an interesting presentation on the ancient Dutch methods of Cheese making, from collection of milk to the final product. The talk includes cheese tasting and an explanation of how one makes different types of cheeses.  Cheese and wine compliment each other very well, so we include a tasting of three fine wines from the Van Loveren estate. The talk is conducted on site at Whispering Pines by our local cheese farm residents and takes about 50 minutes.  Price: R120 per person (minimum charge of 10 pax).

13. BIRDING
With over 130 species spotted on the property and some 304 species found in the greater Magaliesburg area, this venue is ideal for the avid birder.  Birding is a skill you can use every time you go outdoors!  For those who would like to get started, we offer bird identification courses for beginners with a qualified national nature guide, who is a member of  Bird Life South Africa.  Courses consist of a theory module as well as an opportunity to do a nature walk and practice your new skills.  The course can be tailored for corporate groups as part of a low-key team build, treasure hunt or orienteering.  Min 10 people required.  The cost is R295 per person (minimum charge of 10 pax).

14. CAVING & ABSEILING
Caving: This is a 4 hour adrenaline activity and no previous experience is necessary. It takes place in caves nearby to the famous Sterkfontein Caves in the Cradle of Humankind. It includes all equipment and caters for a minimum of 8 pax Price: R410 per person.
Abseiling: This is a 4 hour course in the techniques of how to abseil and takes place in the Magaliesburg mountains in the surrounding area.  It includes all equipment and caters for a minimum of 8 pax.
Price: R410 per person.
The above two activities can be combined into one activity.

15. THE AMAZING RACE
This activity can be done either in the morning or the afternoon en route from JHB or Pretoria finishing at Whispering Pines. This is only for groups of minimum 24 pax. It is professionally organized and teams are split up prior to the activity taking place ensuring that it caters for all types in the team. This is a unique and memorable experience Price: R580 per person.

16. DRUMMING and GUMBOOT DANCING
Interactive Drumming: For your next function, rather than passively watching an entertainer, why don’t you actively participate in a group drum circle? Our facilitators teach you how to master this ancient art of drumming, how to listen to each other, and within 15 minutes you and your team will be making music.    Interactive drumming releases stress, promotes group bonding, team building and breaks down barriers related to race, culture, gender and age.  Experience the beat of Africa.  For groups from 2 to 30 pax.

Interactive Gumboot Dancing: Interactive gumboot dancing is a great way to get everybody up on their feet, dancing like they never knew how and left feeling revitalized, energized and stress free.
Our great team of facilitators, with many years of experience, will display and get you to communicate and sing like our forefathers used to do on the mines. For groups from 2 to 30 pax.  Price: R3700 per session.

17. QUAD - BIKING
Our service provider offers  a variety of quad bikes, from fully automatic  to ordinary manual units and can take you for a half day outing in the beautiful valleys and hills in the Magaliesburg area. All out rides are supervised by an experienced assistant, who is always on hand to assist with showing the clients how to operate the specific quad-bike.  The guided trail through the surrounding area is a fantastic experience and includes stops for refreshments along the way.  All helmets and gear are supplied, you just relax and enjoy the ride.
Price: – from R680 per person (minimum of 5 in Group - Normal Ride) & R 740 per person (minimum of 5 Group - Outride).

18. CANOPY TOURS
An unbelievable experience through the Ysterhout Kloof which is part of the 2,400 million year old Magaliesburg mountain range. The duration of the Canopy Tour is 2.5 hours and consists of ten slides descending onto eleven platforms, situated 30 m above the stream below. It is a 45 minute drive from Whispering Pines. Price: R450 per person.

19. LEGO®
This is a fun filled activity which incorporates participation from all delegates and the activity includes laughter, memory retention, positive feedback, energy, co-operation, successful achievement, inclusion of all delegates in a new team getting together, to know one another. It is a stress free motivational activity.
