Needing a break from the world,I took a chance and booked myself in at Whispering Pines Country Estate. I was warmly greeted by Israel as I stopped my car. He smoothly did the paperwork and then led me to my cabin. My cabin was clean and dust free with a fireplace already packed for me just to light the complimentary Blitz! Yes,Israel did offer this service .
The shower was great with super pressure and heat. The room service was 1st class and the portions are generous. Breakfast in the dining room offeŕed choices, all are great. The various walks are very refreshing and not too taxing. The property is clean and neat with staff daily sweeping leaves etc. Jeremy, the GM was really genuinely friendly and is a people's person. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

Lucky and Kele also were stunning in their attention to my needs. I must mention the absolute glorious silence of my stay. It felt that I was immersed in nature. The lounge/ library was warm and cozy and I enjoyed my time there.

Please keep up the great work, I look forward to returning in the summer. All of the best to all the staff keep up your standards.

A Spectacular 2nd Birthday Celebration at Whispering Pines!

The Ukuvela team recently celebrated our 2nd birthday at Whisperingpines, and the venue was nothing short of spectacular. The entire stay was a huge success, thanks to the impeccable service and facilities.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, professional, and demonstrated a genuine willingness to help at all times, no matter the request. This exceptional service truly elevated our experience.

The conference venue and facilities were great and impressively neat, providing an excellent setting for our sessions. The catering was also spot on: the coffee, tea, and snacks offered during the morning and afternoon breaks were just enough, and the lunch and dinner were an absolute highlight. Our sincerest compliments to the chef and their team for the outstanding meals!

Each couple in our team loved the accommodation, praising the rooms' comfort and unique character. The entire Ukuvela team thoroughly enjoyed their stay, and I am sure many of them will be back—my wife and I certainly plan to return!

A special thank you goes to Gail, who masterfully planned the event with her staff and showed incredible patience and flexibility by assisting with last-minute changes, even the morning before we started. Gail and her team truly rock!

With this level of passion and dedication, we are confident that upgrading to a 5-star venue is just around the corner.

Delightful stay at Whispering Pines

We had the most delightful stay at Whispering Pines—a true hidden gem surrounded by the beauty of nature. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by the wonderful manager, Jeremy, whose hospitality made us feel instantly at home.

A special shout-out to Kele, who went above and beyond helping us at the restaurant, bar, and reception. Her cheerful laugh and radiant energy lit up every space she was in—it truly added to the charm of the place!

The resort itself is stunning, with majestic old trees and a tranquil forest walk that invites you to slow down and breathe. The two-sleeper chalet we stayed in was both luxurious and cozy, perfect for a relaxing retreat.

We absolutely recommend trying the pub meals—especially the Eisbein, which was hearty, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Our only regret? Booking for just one night! We’ll definitely be back in the summer to soak up the sunshine by the pool and stay even longer.

Can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise! Treat yourself and enjoy the facilities and definitely support the restaurant.

The food is very tasty with generous portions especially enjoyed the pub menu. The bar has lovely wines and cocktails to enjoy.
